gOS Desktop for $199!
November 16th, 2007There has been many talks about a Google OS for desktop. People speculated that it is Internet based OS and even an Internet OS!!! I have no idea what the hell it means. But recently I saw the latest workable version of gOS (short of Google OS??) Google has nothing to do with the company that is building it. But news says that Google had a demo of this OS by the company that builds it. You can look at some screen sheets of gOS and you will realize the close integration of Google applications. The OS itself has been build with Ubuntu Linux and customized for user interface and other stuff. This is great. All that you need is an Internet connection and you have a fully functional OS with a set of read to use application and better yet you are playing with the Web 2.0 world right from day one and better yet you are not even thinking about it.
Wal-mart put desktop with gOS for sale at $199!!! As you can see from their site they are sold out!
